How many times have you said I will start doing workouts next Monday and that Monday comes but your workout does not? When was the last time you did a workout? Were they intense? How much did you stretch? Was it only because you wanted to loose/gain weight or was there another reason? Did you know that there’s a
12 WEEK TRANSFORMATION program that you can do to prevent injury? "Will I loose/gain weight?", "Is it online only?"
These are some of the common questions we have from our clients, but these are the questions we need to address even to ourselves. It is a golden rule in this profession that before offering services to our clients we need to take care of our own bodies. For me and Kim this is not just a job this our lifestyle and way of living for us and our 4 kiddos. Furthermore, living in this crazy world taking care of our own mental and physical health should always be a priority.
If you’re still planning to make a change, there are some ideas that could help:
1–Register to a workout plan
This makes it easy for you to have a week written out plan to follow instead of making up new things each day and never seeing results. Not only that but being able to watch someone demonstrate these exercises and explain how to do them correctly is crucial in preventing injury. The best thing you can do for yourself is to take care of your own body as it is the most valuable asset you have.
2–Time management
It is highly important to plan 30 - 60 minutes for your workouts as a must. Instead of spending 30 more minutes on social media, finding time for your own needs is something we owe to ourselves. In the day in age we live in with social media and all of the other extras it's even more important to realize we have to set the proper time a side to make sure we are taking care of ourselves so we can function at an optimum level for everything else in our busy day.
3–Consider switching to healthy habits
What we eat says a lot about the way we look and our health in general. In general, it is the consistency that makes the difference. Once you’re dedicated and set your own rules there will be changes in your mind and your body and you will thank yourself later. Having someone that drives you to achieve these goals makes it much easier. Trust the process and you see will the new habits form and become part or your everyday normal.
4–Reward yourself.
Who doesn’t like being rewarded? One of the best ideas to reward yourself is to give yourself a “tip” jar. Every time you workout or chose not to eat unhealthy food “tip” yourself with one dollar. After a short amount of time you’ll have $50 to $100 to buy something for yourself. You can even use this to refrain from going out out eat. Put a dollar or more away each time you decide not to go out and eat and use that as vacation money down the road. As time progresses the best reward you can offer to yourself is a healthy body and a healthy mind which money can not buy.
